Dear Guests:

E como mei! This letter is intended to outline some of the procedures and rules intended for your successful stay at Makaha Valley Plantation. The latest version of the official "House Rules" is located in the unit. We suggest that you take a few minutes to scan this document as there can be a fine assessed for their violation.

Admittance to MVP:
We will have notified the management of your impending arrival. In order to enter the property, you must present identification, a car rental agreement and/or proof of insurance, and registration for your vehicle. You will be admitted a daily visitors pass or instructed to make a visit to the office to register as a long term guest. The daily passes are more inconvenient because you must renew it at the guard shack each day. The registration process takes extra time up front, but saves time in the long run.

Parking:
Park your car in the assigned space for the unit. Each stall is marked with a unit number.

Pools:
There is a spare set of keys and a pool key in the counter drawer. Pool use is permitted until 9pm.

Tennis:
Before play, please make your way to the guard shack at the entrance (695-9464). Prior to play, you might sign the required forms. Use the pool key to unlock the courts. The courts should be unlocked by 9am.

Basketball:
To reserve the basketball court, take your pool key to the registration office to make the reservation, as well as to receive the access key and sign the required forms.

Alcohol:
Management does not permit alcohol outside of the units.

Peacocks, Roosters, and other birds
We love the peacocks! With that being said, we don't want to encourage the population growth, so we ask that you please do not feed them or the other birds within the property. Be careful when you walk under trees where peacocks nest. They have been known to dive bomb! I have not heard of anyone being hit but we have been quite startled. We've found that we hardly hear the roosters and peacocks anymore and we have come to love their sounds. We hope you do as well.

Laundry
The laundry is conveniently located up the path to the left side of the trash dumpster. I've never had to wait for access especially if going mid-week. It costs $1 per wash and $1 per dryer load. The office sells quarters by the roll only. There should be detergent in the entry closet.

Maintenance:
Please call us for any maintenance issues within our unit. We will have a person respond on our behalf. For maintenance issues outside the unit, call the office.
